On behalf of the Queenswood Board, I am pleased to welcome Mr. Stefan Jonsson in the new position of Programs and Marketing Coordinator.

According to the new staffing plan approved by the Board in March 2008, the Programs and Marketing Coordinator will assist me in planning our programs and marketing, coordinating the day-to-day coordination of Queenswood programs, and enacting the new marketing plan which will allow us to achieve our goal of financial self-sustainability.

Many of you became acquainted with Stefan during his earlier work at Queenswood. Stefan is a highly motivated professional with seven years of experience in program development and promotion. He is creative and resourceful, and his program planning, marketing and event management experience both in Victoria and abroad will be an asset to our staff team. In addition, as many of you know, Stefan’s personal qualities are an excellent fit for Queenswood; his leadership style demonstrates a commitment to spiritual and personal development. He is eager to build upon the many gifts of our present staff (paid and volunteer) to allow us to expand and enhance our programs over the next few years.

Adding this position to our team is an essential step in achieving our goal of financial sustainability. It will allow us to efficiently coordinate the many essential details that keep Queenswood programs running well each day. Combining marketing and programs in this new role will allow us to break out of being “Victoria’s best kept secret” as we reach new groups of potential guests and build new partnerships.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Sr. Marina Smith for her dedicated, spirit-filled service and her cultivation of a wonderful base of programs and presenters from which we can build a new program model. We look forward to welcoming Sr. Marina back in her new role supporting Queenswood Community Relations when she returns from vacation later this summer.

I hope and trust that Stefan’s addition to our staff team will make your own participation in life at Queenswood more pleasant and rewarding.
